Stage One: Preshow

The preshow, displayed on monitors, consists of clips from the making of the films. Brendan Frazier and Stephen Sommers are the focal point as you are cast as extras in "The Mummy 3". It appears that you are the only extras who have not run in fear of the strange occurrences on the set.

Stage Two: The Queue

This stage, located inside an ancient Egyptian tomb is quite an entertaining itself. Many interactive stations are scattered about.

Stage Two: The Ride

As you embark on your journey, you enter your 16 victim, er- passenger mine car. Slowly your car maneuvers into the tomb. You are warned by a mummy not to enter the Mummy's tomb because we learn the curse is real. Without hesitation, Imphotep burst through to silence him. You are have been warned. You enter the main room of the tomb where a holographic Imphotep offers you riches beyond your imagination should you choose to join him. The room comes alive with gold and riches to make you a king. But Imphotep also warns of your demise if you stand against him as his Mummy Warriors spring to life amidst the flames.

Your car is moves a bit faster but stops just short of crashing into a stone wall. Wait! Those are scarab beetles pouring across the walls and into the room. Your car is jolted backwards to escape. But not for long. Mystical energy swirls in front of you. It's just enough to distract you, as your car rotates to the right. Just where did that tunnel leading upward come from? Imphotep returns. He reveals that your souls are his. You may think it would be a slow rise up the tunnel, but here in the tomb you are "dead" wrong. Your car is propelled upward through Imphotep's mouth, through smoke, and then the terror really begins.

In total darkness, the music is fierce, the images are horrifying, and the speeds are incredible. Miraculously, you've made it the woman in the control tower thank you. Wait, something's wrong. She shrivels to a skeleton. Imphotep has claimed her soul and you as well. The ceiling bursts into flames. The heat on your face makes you sink into your seat and you are off again into the darkness.

Another series of drops, turns, and images encompass your final moments. But the gods have favored you. You will live to tell the tale. Brendan Frazier returns to see you off, just before he is trapped by the Mummy's Curse.

Discover Universal Orlando: REVENGE OF THE MUMMY - TIP
This is not for the faint of heart and those with back problems. The line will be very long, so be prepared to wait. There is a Single Rider option which will save much time, but you will bypass the preshow and the queue. The seats are tight. (Four rows of four). The harness comes down over your lap and will fit tightly. We have read that extra-large guests may experience a problem sitting in these seats and may not be able to ride. The back of the car offer the most intense ride, but the front left will offer the best viewing of Imphotep at the beginning and at the end. Cameras are forbidden. You will need to leave them with a companion or get a locker outside the attraction. Our biggest tip as always is, "Know your Child". Just because your child may be tall enough to ride, only you know if they can handle such an intense experience.
