Stage One: Waiting Room Briefing

Upon entering the waiting room you will be briefed by Jimmy Neutron and his friend, Carl with demonstrate Jimmy's newest invention...the powerful Mark IV rocket. But their seems to be an intruder on the grounds. The evil Ooblar from the planet Yokian breaks into the lab and steals the Mark IV rocket with plans to rule Nicktoon Studios and the world. Jimmy recruits you and the audience to help retrieve the Mark IV and save the world. However, you will be following in the unpredictable Mark I rocket pod. Not one of Jimmy's more stable inventions. But fear not as Jimmy will be piloting your ship by remote control. So it's off to your ship to save the world...you hope.

Stage Two: The Ride

As the ride begins, you Jimmy, Carl, and Jimmy's robotic dog, Goddard blast off through Nicktoon Studios and try to capture Ooblar. You are taken on a wild ride through the neighborhoods from "Hey Arnold", "The Rugrats", Fairyworld, home of the "Fairly OddParents", and to the depths of Bikini Bottom with "Spongebob SquarePants". The chase will take you to the far reaches of space, to Ooblar's home world, the planet Yokian. Your final battle with Ooblar ends right back at Jimmy's lab. Be prepared as Ooblar will make you suffer a fate worse than death. Fear not. With Jimmy's help you will save the day.

When the ride is over you will exit through an interactive area and gift shop. Here you will find a Photo Op with Spongebob Squarepants.

Insider Notes:
In the spring of 2003, Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast replaced the Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera, which used the same motion based technology. Those who remember the old attraction will recall the same room layout and ride premise. But the backdrop and movie are obviously changed.

Discover Universal Orlando: Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast Tips
Since this attraction is located at the front of the park, the best tip we can offer is to ride it on upon entering the park since the wait time can easily get quite long. Do this either before or right after Shrek 4-D. Our normal route is Jimmy Neutron first since Shrek's exit is located around the block. Jimmy's exit is a little bit closer to Shrek's entrance. The Universal Express Pass does cut the wait time considerably when crowds are heavy. An attendant will assign you a row to stand in during the briefing. This helps determine your seating placement on the ride. Odd row placement will provide a front row viewing from your Mark I rocket pod. Obviously, a center rocket pod in the theater is always best, but each seat gives a great view.

Since this is a motion based ride there will be plenty of bumping around. Stationary seating is available for disabled guests and those under the height requirement.
